Spreading Hope and Sweetness: Clyde’s Donuts Donates 13,000+ Pounds of Product to Support Families in Crisis

At Clyde’s Donuts, community isn’t just a word—it’s a core value baked into everything we do.

For over a century, we’ve been delivering quality donuts with care, passion, and purpose. Today, that purpose extends beyond the bakery as we proudly share our recent donation of 16 pallets—over 13,000 pounds—of premium donuts to Illinois Partners in Hope, a nonprofit serving families in crisis across the Midwest.

This meaningful donation was made possible through a newly formed partnership with Convoy of Hope, a global humanitarian relief organization focused on delivering food, supplies, and compassion where it’s needed most. Together, we’re working to support families facing food insecurity, economic hardship, and displacement—bringing not just nourishment, but also dignity and hope.

From Trade Show Connection to Real-World Impact

This inspiring collaboration began at the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) trade show, where the Clyde’s Donuts team met representatives from Convoy of Hope. What started as a friendly conversation quickly evolved into an opportunity to make a real difference. Shortly after the event, we reached out to Convoy of Hope to explore how we could help.

The timing was perfect. Our team had the ability to donate a significant quantity of fresh product, and Convoy of Hope quickly stepped in to manage logistics. They connected us with Illinois Partners in Hope, a trusted nonprofit based in New Lenox, Illinois, known for distributing food, clothing, and essential supplies to families experiencing crisis. Within just a few days, 16 pallets of Clyde’s donuts were on their way to be shared with communities across the region.

Mark Taylor of Convoy of Hope shared this message with the Clyde’s team: “What you’ve done means more than words can truly express. It’s not just about the product—it’s about the hope, dignity, and compassion that come with it. The impact of your kindness will be felt by families who are facing incredibly difficult circumstances.”

A Legacy of Giving, Rooted in Community

Founded in 1920, Clyde’s Donuts has always been about more than just donuts. With more than 100 years of family tradition, we understand the responsibility that comes with our success. Our company has long supported schools, youth programs, first responders, community events, and nonprofit partners—and this donation is a natural extension of that legacy.

We believe that food should never be wasted when it can nourish others—and that every business has a responsibility to give back. Whether through local donations, large-scale partnerships, or sustainability efforts, we aim to lead with heart.

As food insecurity continues to affect families nationwide, we are committed to working with organizations like Convoy of Hope and Illinois Partners in Hope to deliver not just food, but also a sense of relief and encouragement. We are proud to know that these donuts will be enjoyed by families at shelters, food pantries, and community centers—places that are often lifelines during hard times.

This is only the beginning. Our team at Clyde’s Donuts looks forward to growing our partnership with Convoy of Hope and other like-minded organizations who share our vision of a more compassionate, connected world. We’re excited to explore new ways to give back—whether it’s donating food, volunteering our time, or supporting emergency relief programs.

To us, a donut is more than a sweet treat. It’s a symbol of joy, of comfort, and of care—and we’ll keep finding ways to share that spirit with others, one act of kindness at a time.
